Open Query Select

This command will save you a lot of time if you use OPNQRYF. Use it to prompt the user for selection criteria. It will build the query string and put it in the local data area. The submitted job pulls the query string out of the local data area and runs the OPNQRYF command. The following is a sample prompt screen:
